Body Types *long post*

Apprently there is more to body types than just what you see above.  I just found out there is really 3 different body types people are born to be.  It's pretty sad because they state you will know from the puberty.  These body types are called ectomorph, mesomorph and endomorph.  I know right.  Never heard of this type of body shape until a few days ago.  I found out I may not only be eating wrong for my body type but working out wrong too.  It may still up for debate on rather you can really transform your body into the one body type you want.  Some say you can threw exercise and diet and others say your stick with it, make the best of it.( easy to say when your a fucking ectomorph )   Here is a chart below of what the three body types look like.
Now that is just a drawing.  What about the real world?  Here is a photo below.  These ladies are in the same order as above.

Okay so here is a description of these body types I am just getting to know. The description below was written very nicely by M.Farouk Radwan.  For me he put the body types into perfect words.

the Ectomorph

The Ectomorph has less muscles and relatively lighter bones than the other body types. The nervous system forms a bigger part of the Ectomorph's body compared to the other body types and that's what makes him emotionally sensitive.
You can easily spot an ectomorph by checking for the following: he is slim, his limbs are long, he appears taller than he is, his muscles are much smaller than the muscles of people with other body types and he hardly gains weight by working out or by eating.
The Ectomorph might suffer from emotional problems and mood swings more than the other body types because of his sensitive nervous system.

The mesomproph

The mesomorph is called the balanced because his body is formed of a balanced combination of muscles, bones and nervous system.
The Mesmoprph has an athletic body shape, johnny bravo the famous cartoon character is a typical mesomorph. The mesomorph's body has well-defined muscles and large bones to the extent that people might think that he works out regularly while he might not be doing it at all.
The mesomorph's is balanced, highly energetic, likes sports, adventures and he doesn't have problems in doing tough physical activities.
The Mesomorph is highly tolerant and not that sensitive compared to the Ectomorph.

the endomorph

The body of the endomorph is round and soft. if you want a perfect example of a an endomorph it would be big mama (in big mama's house movie).
A big part of his mass is concentrated in the abdominal area. The hands and feet of the endomorph are relativity small.
The endomorph is very social by nature, fun loving, and relaxed. He loves food (pretty logical) and he usually provides great company.

Now this is more information I found online but this is a bit more healthful for training for the different body types.  The writer of this one is unknown sadly. They gave such great advice.

Ectomorph Training
The ectomorph's first objective is gaining weight and muscle mass.Strength and endurance will need to be developed and muscle mass develops very slowly. Stay with the basic exercises and include power moves that build maximum mass. Do an entire training workout, but take longer rest periods if you need to. Take in more calories than you are accustomed to and use weight-gaining and protein drinks to supplement your food intake. Try not to expend to many calories by keeping cardio to a minimum saving them for muscle building.

Mesomorph Training
The mesomorph will find it easy to build muscle mass but will have to include a variety of exercises in their program so that the muscles develop proportionately and shapely rather than bulky. A combination of heavy power moves and a variety of shaping exercises and a more varied for better quality, proportion and symmetry of the physique. Long workouts and short rest time. The mesomorphic type responds well to training so super-long sessions are not needed. A balanced diet with a good amount of protein and maintain an even calorie level all time.

Endomorph Training
The endomorph will not have much difficulty building muscle but will have to be concerned with losing fat weight and be careful not to gain the weight back. High-set, high-repetition training with short rest periods to burn off as much fat as possible. Additional aerobic exercise for calorie consumption. A low-calorie diet that contains the necessary nutritional balance with the minimum amount of protein, carbohydrates and fats. Make sure that you are getting the right amount of vitamins and mineral supplements the body needs.

What do you ladies think?  Does any of this make sense?  Which body type do you think you are or know you are after reading this information?

I know for a fact I am a endomorph and my twin sister( no we do not look a like thank God ) is a mesomorph.  When we were younger it seems like my sister was more of a ectomorph.  She was tall lean and had the hardest time putting weight while me even as a child always gained weight more easier than her.  just even writing it makes me sad and upset right now.

A celebrity example of ectomorph celebrity would be Kate Moss.  We all know how tall and beautiful thin she is.  Example of mesomorph would be Fergie, Janet Jackson, and Jessica Simpson.  Endomorph would be Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez.

I hope this article helps some of you.  I know it has helped me a lot.  Sorry it would so long but I am all about details. PS my weight is at 202.2.  I just may seen 201 tomorrow morning.

  1. I always assumed people knew about ecto, meso, and endomorph body types.

I'm a mesomorph just like my dad, but I've always wanted to be an ectomorph just like my mom. :/

    1. I new nothing about this! I wonder in a way if I am meso because I am great at playing sports and just about anything sporty. It just seems like my body has always resembled an endo.

But reading the information makes me wonder if I am striving for a body I will never get.

    3. And: most people are a combination of body types. :)

I wouldn't stress over it, though. Sheldon's methods were rather questionable, in my opinion.

    1. Hello there. Yeah I know I am about to take the test for my body type in the um link she has above. Feel free to take it as well. One lady did say most people fall into both. Why can't it be the skinny and curvy one lol.

  4. I'd never heard of them before this post either. I'm pretty sure I'm mesomorph based on the photos above. That's so interesting, it literally blown my mind, haha.
I'm totally googling this in a minute, haha.
Thanks. And congratulations on the weight, I'm sure you'll reach 201 lbs by tomorrow too :)

  5. Hey, I have a great DVD and eating plan by Tracy Anderson, it's called metamorphosis.. Her work outs are based around this theory, they're amazing. She has slightly different work outs for each body type. I never do the eating plan, bc it seems like so much food, but I keep meaning to get on the DVD. It looks awesome. The gym just seems simpler though! Lol, I never was good at following steps from a DVD, but this might just have given me the motivation I need. I don't want to be doing the wrong exercises! What's great is that the workout changes, to catch up with your new fitness level and trick your body into keeping your metabolism moving and not getting board.

If you buy into this, you should try it! It is very convincing.

  7. I've always known about these 3 body types, but never in the way you put it! We studied these "morphs" in all of my crime classes (there used to be a theory that a certain body type was connected to crime)- this post was really interesting, thanks!
I always see the "apple, pear, etc" body types and can never decide what I am... but with the pictures you posted of the morphs, I automatically saw that I was an endomorph (sighhhh)
