Good morning. This may not be the most positive post I have. I try to stay positive but this past week I have been finding that really hard to do. I guess with trying to stay positive at my current job, the thought of getting a new job among, trying to get a new car, and trying to avoid having to pay my student loans with my little income and low hours is just hitting me in the face at the moment. Then as you can my scale is just freakin stupid. I may go ahead and buy a old school one from work. I can't remember how much that darn thing cost.
So I go on the scale last night 172.6 got on the scale 8 this morning 172.2, got on the scale at 10 it said 172.8. I was like what the heck is going on. So then I get back on it and then it says the 173.2. What? I get back on and it still gives me the 173.2. I know you guys are probably thinking why do I get on that scale so much. Usually I don't. But when I bust my hump with eating right and my exercise session I am expecting to see the results on the scale.
Apparently not. Sad thing is I look great. My waist is now a 31( inches ) and when I started I was a 38. My goal is to get to 24. I am not too far away from that. The scale is not moving in my favor but my inches and size in general is still shrinking so I guess I can't complain but it would be nice for it to still show up on the scale.
Okay now I am going to enjoy the rest of my morning sitting here in front of my computer before I go to work. Didn't know today was holiday ( Columbus day ) So we are under staffed at my job because they are cutting hours, my manager is off and left this huge to do list but we are pretty busy on holiday's so I am not expecting to get much done but I can see him whining anyways 9_9

Wow, it really sounds like your scale is being fucked up. I've been through those times too, even though I don't own a scale. It so depends on what you've consumed and what you've been doing. Like...right after a workout you'll always be at least a bit lighter than before you worked out.
ReplyDeleteBut there's something I don't get. Like...if you are 31 inches around your waist, you're up 3 inches from your starting point. You sounded surprisingly happy about that...or is it just that I can't understand irony. Not that it is craziness going on, but I usually don't see people feeling great about it..
Yeah I got on it the next day and I was 171.6 Very annoying. I really need to get a new one but I don't have the money right now. I checked the weight less than 1 minute apart so yeah I know for a fact the scale is being stupid.
DeleteLol I made a typo. My starting waist was 38 and now I am 31. Shit I have never been 28, the closest was 29. No wonder you looked at me like I was crazy lol.
Wow, your scale is being freaky. Damn. You are still one of the most inspirational blogs i read. I mean, your weightloss to this point has already been amazing. Keep going. Don't let one day fuck you up. :) Xo
ReplyDeleteThanks lady. I think I am going to post later today. I am about to start counting every single calorie. After I got to 185 I stopped because I was basically eating and doing the same thing everyday. I am missing something major here and I need to find out what.
DeleteYour weight can just fluctuate naturally, and depending on what you eat and if you've been to the bathroom etc. Don't worry Winter, just keep going and the numbers will keep going down. I know it sucks when you work hard and aren't seeing the results you want, but try to be patient. Don't give up :)

*hugs* Awwww your comments always sound so cute. Yeah about to start writing everything down because something is not right here. I made sure to go to the bathroom before I get on the scale :-( Still sucked.
DeleteI was about to say the same thing as Alice May, your scales aren't fucked up... your weight can fluctuate by up to 7 lbs in a day! That's why it's recommended to weight at the same time every day... preferably in the morning, after going to the bathroom. Weighing and reweighing is a hard cycle to get out of, been there, done that.... try your hardest just to weigh the once, then weigh again the same time the next day, you'll see the numbers go down that way (if you're doing the right things and it sounds like you are) and then you can smile =)
